Our new Nursery School offers a small, friendly and safe environment, where children can freely explore and learn through a wide variety of play experiences.

Within this happy environment, children can grow and develop to their full potential physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. We promote positive behaviour and encourage children to respect each other and their surroundings.

NEW Purpose Built Nursery

Chapelfield Nursery School offers the same high-quality provision as our City Nursery within the village of Trowse, on the Primary School site. We provide care for children age 2–4 years in our bright open plan room with access to the outdoor environment and a natural garden area.

CCDN Team

Throughout the nursery we have a strong supportive team who all have a caring professional approach to all children, parents/carers, families and outside agencies.

At our Nursery School we employ 9 members of staff and we have our own bank of relief staff. The majority of the staff have been trained to a Level 3 qualification or above and some staff are carrying our an Apprenticeships training towards a Level 3 in childcare. Staff carry out additional training which includes Child Protection, Early Years First Aid, and Food Safety in Catering.

Food and Drink

We have a cook on site to prepare lunch and tea. A seasonal menu is devised to ensure that the requirements of a healthy balanced and nutritious diet are met. We provide a hot meal at lunchtime and a light meal for tea. Our meals are prepared from fresh ingredients.

Water is available throughout the day. A variety of fruits and savoury options are offered as a morning and afternoon snack.

There are two groups within our Nursery School which offer a wide variety of activities and play experiences, to enable your child to develop to their full potential.

We offer the following care options, all year-round, or Term time, Monday-Friday.

Fees

Fees are payable one month in advance. Invoices are sent out on (approximately) the 4th of the month, with payment due on 18th of the month. We accept many voucher schemes and we are also enrolled with the government tax free childcare scheme.

2-3 Years old

Full day - £78

3-5 Years old (Non-funded)

Full day - £70

The nursery operates a waiting list based on:

*This charge covers essential consumables, including food and drinks, and helps the nursery to be sustainable as a non-profit oganisation.

Most children are entitled to government funding from the term after they turn 9 months old. Depending on parent eligibility, this will be either 15 or 30 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year. At Chapelfield Nursery, we apply the funding to invoices during term time for children who attend three or more days, however we can ‘stretch’ the funding over 51 weeks of the year for children who attend two days.
